The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks football program has a rich history dating back to 1912. The team has competed at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level since 1993 and has won 11 conference championships, including seven in the past 10 years.
Brian Wright's Impact
In 2017, Brian Wright took over as head coach of the Lumberjacks and quickly turned the program into a national contender. Under Wright's leadership, the team has won three consecutive Big Sky Conference titles and advanced to the FCS playoffs in each of the past three seasons.
Lincoln, California Native Leads the Way
Wide receiver Hendrix Johnson, a Lincoln, California native, has quickly become one of the most productive players in the FCS. In 2022, he led the nation in receiving yards and touchdowns.
