Actors Life In Danger Due To Delayed Treatment

Arjun Bijlani Recovering After Appendix Surgery

Actor's Life in Danger Due to Delayed Treatment

Delay in reaching the hospital could have had fatal consequences, says Bijlani

Arjun Bijlani, the popular Indian television actor, is on the road to recovery after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. The 39-year-old star of shows such as "Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil" and "Ishq Mein Marjawan" took to Instagram to share his experience and warn others about the importance of seeking prompt medical attention for appendicitis.

According to Bijlani, he started experiencing severe stomach pain on Tuesday evening. Initially, he dismissed it as indigestion, but the pain worsened significantly over the next few hours. By early Wednesday morning, he was vomiting and experiencing intense pain in his lower right abdomen, a classic sign of appendicitis.

Despite the severe pain, Bijlani hesitated to go to the hospital, fearing that it might be a false alarm. However, as the pain became unbearable, he finally called his doctor and was rushed to the hospital.

CT scans confirmed the diagnosis of appendicitis, and Bijlani was immediately taken into surgery to remove his appendix. The surgery was successful, but Bijlani revealed that the delay in seeking treatment could have had life-threatening consequences.

"Had I delayed going to the hospital by even a few more hours, my appendix could have burst, leading to peritonitis and possibly even sepsis," Bijlani said in his Instagram post. "I'm so grateful to the doctors who saved my life."

Bijlani is now recovering at home and is expected to make a full recovery. He used his experience to urge others to seek prompt medical attention if they experience symptoms of appendicitis.

"If you're experiencing severe stomach pain, especially in the lower right abdomen, don't ignore it," Bijlani said. "Go to the hospital immediately. It could save your life."
